“At the end of the day, all you need is hope and strength… Hope that it will get better and strength to hang on until it does.” - Jasmine Whitmore
I am a licensed therapist with the state of Arizona. I hold a Masters of Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, as well as a Masters in Clinical Psychology from University of Phoenix. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over a decade and have a multitude of experience with inpatient settings, outpatient clinical settings, IOP/PHP, individual and group counseling where I have helped adults, teens, couples and families achieve and overcome a variety of goals and successes.
I believe that hope and healing comes in many different ways and often fosters from a safe and therapeutic environment. I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals and helping clients work through any challenges they may be going through.
My approach to therapy is trauma focused, collaborative, client focused, and goal oriented. I am certified/trained and often integrate therapeutic modalities including: EMDR, trauma, mindfulness, Trauma Focused CBT, emotional regulation, motivational interviewing, family systems theory, solution focused therapy, and trauma informed approaches. I also obtain specific training in and have extensive experience working with: stress management, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, family dynamic changes, relationship issues, behavioral challenges, trauma, life transitions, social concerns, self acceptances and many more.
My passion is to help people find their inner light by listening, understanding and helping those who need extra support; whatever that may look like. My goal is to help each individual person build a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship or clients feel heard and understood, in order to achieve positive and genuine outcomes tailored to each person.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, eating good food, traveling and making memories with the ones I love!
